Over the last few decades, network
protocols (e.g., ethernet, ip) have received a great deal of
attention. However, few people have studied the code that
implements these protocols. |
|
A network service allows a system to share data (by
using network protocols) with other systems on the
network/Internet. This web site is a line-by-line analysis of
Philip Homburg's network service for Minix, version 2.0.4.
Studying the Minix network service is an opportunity to
understand how these different protocols are
implemented. |

This web site took over a year to complete.
As with the Minix boot site, if a few people find this site
to be useful, the time spent will have been rewarded. |
